Original Establishment – The Divisional Commissioner, Amravati established a training center named “Aarti” (Amravati Regional Training Institute) on 15th January 1990 to train the officers and employees of the Revenue and Rural Development Department of Amravati Division.

                 This training center was named as Vidarbha Administrative and Development Training Prabodhini, Amravati as per Maharashtra Government Resolution, General Administration Department, dated December 07, 1996 and this institute was established as an independent autonomous organization for Vidarbha (on the lines of success).

                     After that, Under The Maharashtra Government Resolution, General Administration Department, Dated September 09, 1997 Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vidarbha Administrative and Development Training Prabodhini, Amravati was renamed.

             General Administration Department vide Govt. Resolution dated 14th October, 2013 declared this Institute as Divisional Administrative and Training Institute for Amravati Division under State Training Policy.
